I wonder how biology can explain the physical pain you feel in your chest when all you want to do is be with someone.

ACTUALLY, within the human heart, there are small tendon like structures that criss cross the insides of your ventricles. They are known as heartstrings, (chordae tendinae) and when the mind or body is under immense duress or stress, they snap. The reason for this phenomenon is unknown, but it produces an actual aching in the chest cavity, aka heartache. :) bio major ftw.
